Yes every boy needs a droid  Have gotten r2 to recognize characters and even some names he will react to that are not on the list (Mommy, Dad) The Game mode with "spin the droid" "dance program" "room guard" and the kids favorite "light tag" are pretty simple to master. Having trouble with the command mode for movement, but sure with a little time will have that figured out. We have spend hours with it so far trying new things (saying "lights off" gets a sturn side to side no from the top dome) Must admit he can be as stubborn as his movie counterpart at times.
Must admit it would have been nice to see it a wee bit larger, but it does look pretty cool on display at the size it is.
He does motor around pretty good and even "pops Wheelies" as the kids say, tilting back and lifting his middle leg
Happy we got it, and sure we will figure it outsooner or later.
Oh and they always get me with "some assembly required"

P.S. I cheated I just copied my old post. Still think it cool, R2 is right beside me at my computer stand

Well lets just put a link here to the thread from the old forum.  ;)

Interactive R2D2

Hopefully you should find some stuff on R2 in there. Now after reading about R2 all over again, I guess I'll have to take him out of storage & scare the crap out of the cats again!  ;D
