The Black Series 6" Figure Line / Re: The Black Series (6" Figure Line)
« on: September 28, 2022, 09:55:41 PM »
Well, looking back over this thread I've bought a lot more 6" figures than I ever intended. That being said, to this point I have been mainly getting OT figures. Which brings me to my next question...

Are the only upcoming OT figures you can order right now Figrin Dan, ewok village Leia and the deluxe cantina guy?

I know there will be a couple ROTJ 40th figures next year that are new Wicket and Paploo, the endor rebel soldier, and apparently a deluxe boba fett.... is that all for OT for the next year?

Fine by me with the prices the way they are. And I think I'll wait for clearance on at least the Leia. It really is amazing how shallow the black series is after all these years. Still barely and aliens.

I suppose we might find out more this weekend.

How is the credit collection boba fett the same price as the morak vintage one. Both exclusives, both boba fett, but one is 6" and one is 3.75 inch.  :sign0065:

I guess we should be thankful the credit collection one isn't like $65. Haha!

Despite it not being OT, I really want the morak fett. A lot. But $43? Gonna have to pass.

Found Vintage Boba Fett Morak VC252 at Toysrus…42,99$..outch

SKN 146048

That's insane. I don't know what else to say... insane.

Edit: are they mixing it up with this in their system?

Or do they figure it's an exclusive so they can charge deluxe pricing? Sadly this is more likely than an error at this point.

A real shame about all the chase variants, blind boxes and exclusives. If I was interested in the line, that would have killed it before I even started.

Stopped in at the walmart on keele south of finch. Not my usual stomping grounds, but am in the neighbourhood lately so have stopped there a couple times. Man, what a trash heap of a store. Shelves half filled with scattered product all over the place. Not just in toys.

Not a single star wars figure on the pegs. Saw a black he-man figure that I'd never seen before. They had a couple movie joes 6" at full price. But honestly, even if they had product, it would be hard to locate with half the stuff off the pegs and scattered around. It was the same both times I've been to this location in the last month.

Don't get to do many impulse buys these days! Barely find anything in stores anymore.

How does the armour compare to the cobb vanth armour? In theory it should be about the same, no? Just curious. I see you have him in the background.

So many Bobas. I didn't even know this one was coming. I would like the vintage collection target boba that is coming. I really like the cardback on it. I only recently figured out that one was a thing. Too many exclusives to keep track of.

Perfect example of what I was talking about. Go to the link below right now for the classified BAT. it shows up as available from cmd store for $57. Meanwhile if you pay close attention amazon actually has it in stock directly from them for $35.

A few issues with this listing...

1. Amazon lists it as "apollo". Thanks hasbro for your codename, and amazon for not correcting it.
2. Amazon's listing not showing up as the default. Only an astute shopper will find the proper amazon listing.
3. Cmd store's absurd price of $58. That's a 65% markup.

Unfortunately filters don't always work. And when searching amazon on my phone, the "ships from and sold by amazon" filter is conveniently gone. That's an amazon issue, not a cmd store issue. But it does clutter my results.

I do wonder what amazon charges them. I doubt it's 25% though. Which is usually about what the difference in price is between cmd's amazon price and Amazon's retail price. Seems a bit excessive to me. And their website prices seem hit and miss. For example why is classified Tomax $40? He isn't even out yet. Yes I get they sometimes have to offset pegwarmers by increasing prices of desirable figures but it seems inconsistent. And they have downright scalper-ish prices on some stuff. Anyway, to each their own. I just know I've never found enough to order at a given moment at decent prices to make it worth my while. And they pollute my searches on Amazon and walmart.

Personally I just wish they wouldn't pollute my searches on Amazon and they always seem to have stock on those websites for inflated prices when walmart and Amazon run out.

Online Shopping - Who's Got the Hot Items??? / Re: Hasbro Pulse
« on: June 01, 2022, 02:23:36 PM »
The Hoth Rebels set and Paz Vizla available now.
Are the hoth rebels actually based on on-screen characters, or are they generic? Anyone know?

It's annoying cause I have to order 2 to get free shipping.
Exactly. Whether it's free shipping or not, being able to combine orders makes things way more cost efficient. Especially in an era where figures at regular retail are virtually non existent. At least any non-peg warmers.

It's so annoying how hasbro keeps drip feeding the preorders. I wish they would reveal and make available for preorder full waves at a time. I know collectors have asked for this yet they continue to ignore.

Looks amazing though I not sure I'll get her. Certainly not in black series, nor retro. Maaaybe in vintage. But probably not. Either way, I'd like to see the whole wave.

I completely forgot about this event.  Were those VC figures ever available for pre-order?
Ha, I completely forgot about this event as well. Perfect example of how collecting is so scattershot these days, I can't even keep track. And even if you do pay attention, typical Canadian retail not coordinating with US retail or Hasbro.

The Vintage Collection (TVC) / Re: VC Droids Boba Fett

Thanks Wedge, that's all really useful info. I actually noticed the grouping limitations last night while checking them out. It makes sense. Of course they are at hasbro's mercy for release times but keeping items grouped into a couple months release date window makes sense.

They don't seem to let you combine in stock items with preorders as well. Or at least preorders that are to far out.

Thanks again for the info and for pointing them out.
