All of the problems TRUMP has faced to date have been of his own creation.  Two years ago I made a comment to my friends about we will not know what kind a President he is until he tested by a real problem he did not create.  Bush had 911, Obama had the 2008 finial crisis.  Trump has the Coronavirus.   His actions, inaction are all being recorded by the historians.  What people will remember the most about, you, me or Donald Trump after we have past on this Earth is how we treated people when we were alive.   Donald Trump on the World Stage is showing the world he is arrogant self absorb petty pompous ass who has no business being President or Leader of anything.   He has already been impeached and now if the American people were smart they insist that he be removed from office and let someone be in charge who is capable of handling this situation.   They should effectively put a coalition of both parties in place and put Obama and Bush back in charge to get the country  through this situation.  Put Bush in at ground zero in New York he has been there and done that during 911, let Obama get all the different agencies and state governments working together to minimize the spread of coronavirus across the USA and North America.

I should clarify what I mean.  " I hope TRUMP is right because that would be amazing for all of us"  Trying to stay positive in a time of non-positives.  TRUMP is an arrogant self absorbed ********************************** and an ***************.    What he is saying is completely irresponsible to be said by anyone let alone the President of the United States.   But his base listens to him and believes him.  This is also the reason why I believe things are going to get really bad in the states. I hope I am wrong, I really hope I am wrong and TRUMP is right .   But if things go side way in the states, the 2008 downturn will be a walk in the park compared to the train wreck that is about to happen.  People were loosing their houses back then......people will be loosing their love ones or even their own lives.   And TRUMP and all the politicians can throw as much money as they want to save the economy, but it just won't matter when what they really need is ventilators.  But staying positive, I will hope TRUMP is right and the experts are wrong.

Yes we are at home and my daughter came home this morning from BC.  So we are isolating ourselves for 14 days voluntarily.   I understand now it is mandatory as of 12 midnight tonight.   We are getting food delivered by my neice who lives in Whitby.

I am concerned by TRUMP's comments. He is speaking to his base and it is what they want to hear and believe.  In Florida the people we talked to thought it was being over blow-in and that the democrats want a recession so they can win the election.    But if he is wrong and they follow his example of not taking the situation as seriously as is being recommenced by the health care professionals:   New York State is the entire's USA future in the next 6 weeks and you could see upwards of 10,000 to 30,000 people die every week.        I hope TRUMP is right and this is a 2 week event and things go back to normal quickly.

We are at home now.   Dropped off the Van late last night to avoid contact with anyone.
My daughter leaves tomorrow night from BC to us in Ontario.  And we have someone helping deliver food to us so we can avoid other people for the 14 day period.

"- an expert warns that this coming weekend is a critical time for Canadians to practice social distancing because thousands are going to be returning from March Break vacation in the US, some of whom may be carrying the virus."

Based on what I saw while staying at the Florida Gulf Side Beaches, young and old age groups were grouped into a small location around the pool areas.

I know someone in the Ontario hospital system and they are expecting it to peak in Ontario at about mid-April.   So we should expect it to get worse until April 15th or so.

TRU needs to use this time to drastically improve their on line ordering and move to the curb side only pick up model I am seeing at some of the retailers here in Florida.

Hi guys ..... My wife, son and I are here in Florida. My daughter is out in BC, but we are flying her home on Tuesday.  We have been here in Florida for 2.5 weeks.  At the beach people are not practicing social distancing.   This includes all age groups young and old.  The Clearwater attitude is not just at Clearwater.  We have been staying away from people and using objects to open doors and push buttons.  Our extended outside of country health care will be cut off March 22nd.   We decided the best way to get home was to rent a van and get it with a drop off in Canada.   This way we avoid airports and grouping of people.    Once we start driving we plan to stop no more than one evening in a hotel, but if my wife and I think we can do it safely we will keep on driving. We have just bought a YETI to bring home as much food as we can.  We are not sure if the food will be taken at the border, but we are trying to have some food for when we get home. We have been hearing things can be hard to come by at home.   I hope all you guys are safe at home, looking forward to being back in Canada as soon as possible.

Star Wars Movies & TV shows / Re: The Mandalorian

We definitely need 3.75" figures for this show. I am in for as many as they can pump out.

The Black Series Baby Yoda on Amazon for pre-order - is that for the 6" line or 3.75" line?

Glad you liked it, OMB. Sorry to hear your son hated it, CJ, but your daughter does make a valid point. My biggest beef with the trilogy is the treatment of Luke, so if he was just some random Jedi, instead, maybe I would have felt differently.

Wedge’s comments reflect what I see with younger fans - and many of them are pre-teen. Teenagers of this era seem too old to get into much of anything like this. Glad you and your family enjoyed it.

While the love it or hate it is unfortunate, I was just thinking that there are some people who hated the OT as well. My brother-in-law, for one, who would have been about 9 years old when ANH came out, hates Star Wars. I can’t understand it, but it is what it is. It is a bit more of a tragedy when a long time fan of SW hates a Star Wars movie, but with different story tellers, it’s bound to happen. I wish they had stuck with one storyteller for all 3 films to make a more cohesive trilogy, but I do feel, personally, that TROS wrapped it up quite nicely.

I think my son needs to watch it a second time.  I was surprised at how much more I liked it after the second viewing.  I am pretty sure that during the first viewing I was really tired - it is a pretty fast pace movie changing scenes a lot so I was probably not in the right frame of mind when I saw it.  My son had only gotten 5 hours sleep, was up to 3 am and woke up by construction workers at 8 am at a friends house just before he saw it - so he may have had the same problem I did.

I too wish Luke and Han Solo were treated differently as characters.  I did not like how Han left Leia and how he died.  I did not like how they portrayed Luke in the second movie or how Leia floated through space.

I did like how they handled Leia's Death .

If the Skywalkers are done - I am OK.  If Luke had a baby boy who is Rey's age and they hook up and make more baby Skywalkers who come back and dig up those light sabers - I am good with that also.

I love the Mandalorian - we will be watching it as a family tonight.  I will take what Disney gives us and hope it is more good than bad.

I just came back and saw it for a second time with my 17 year old son.  He hated it and thought it was the worse of the 3 movies.   I liked it a lot better after the second viewing.I watched some of the last 2 Disney movies in part on TV over the last couple days.  And I think if I watch all 3 Disney movies together I will be OK with the trilogy .  My favourite part that I missed the first time and was when Chewbacca got his medal !!!!!! And both my son and I loved Babu Frik.   Clearly Babu Frik and Baby Yoda will be making a movie together.

I thought this was a cute comment from Ian McDiarmid about being a band member:

Ian McDiarmid doubts George Lucas would have brought back Emperor Palpatine

Ian McDiarmid doubts George Lucas would have brought back Emperor Palpatine in 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker'.

The 75-year-old actor plays the iconic character in the money-spinning sci-fi franchise - but he doubts whether Lucas - who created the 'Star Wars' movies - would have brought Palpatine back from the dead, were he still at the helm.

He told IndieWire: "I thought I was dead!

"I thought he was dead. Because when we did 'Return of the Jedi', and I was thrown down that chute to Galactic Hell, he was dead. And I said, 'Oh, does he come back?' And [George] said, 'No, he's dead.'

"So I just accepted that. But then, of course, I didn't know I was going to be doing the prequels, so in a sense he wasn't dead, because we went back to revisit him when he was a young man. But I was totally surprised by this."

Meanwhile, McDiarmid previously admitted he felt like a band member in 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker'.

The veteran actor - who plays the main antagonist of the 'Star Wars' franchise - thinks his character and his team of "galactic nurses" resemble a band in the new movie.

He explained: "At the moment, the character is physically reliant on a number of small people, who act as galactic nurses - they are called the Heretics.

"They feel like a band, Palpatine and the Heretics. That's my abiding image of the movie."

Had an interesting conversation with my 19 year old daughter about the Star Wars movies. My 17 year old son hates the recent movies and my 19 year old daughter likes them.   But I think the difference is how she looks at the movies.  She said there are only 6 Star Wars movies.  The ones created by George Lucas.   She compared it to Harry Potter.  She said there are only 8 Harry Potter movies.  She said the Fantastic Beast are not the Harry Potter movies and she looks at the Disney Star Wars movies in the same way.  They are not real Star Wars movies but spin off movies just like Fantastic Beast.   My son on the other hand is comparing and trying to make the new movies fit in with characters and stories he grew up knowing as a kid and he is not happy with them.   He has not seen The Rise of Skywalker yet but him and I are going today.  He did have a Star Wars movie marathon with his friends where they watched every Star Wars movies over a 22 hour period.  So he is excited to see the new movie.  And I am excited to see it with him. Only thing making me sad is Cineplex did not have any good seats left and Landmark had amazing seats in the big theatre - so we are going to Landmark which means I can't use my R2D2 and get my free popcorn and pop - this makes me sad.  I love my R2D2.
