Scout Report / Re: Walmart Clearance on TFA product

My second problem, and it's not really a problem, more an editing preference.  The last scene of arriving at the planet Rey has had visions of (Ren says this much when mind probing her, the vast ocean, the island) and walking up the mountain to reveal Luke should have been a post credit scene, and shorter.  Less walking up the hill, less holding the lightsaber out.  Even at 2 mins, that would have been a perfect bonus to those who stayed behind.

Agree, I would have loved to see that part after credits, but maybe they didn't want to take the risk considering that most people leave when the credits start rolling.

I saw it on December 17 and the room was full, but honestly, when the credits rolled most people left the theater.

That would have created a lot of comments like  "Why putting the coolest scene after the credits, man? It's not a Marvel movie!!!". I think most viewers would have miss that part, potentially giving more material to people bitching about the movie and motivating them to destroy everything in "Angry Kylo Ren" mode :rollfloorlaffsmiley: .

By the way, this guy is funny

I was thinking on waiting to see the movie before buying, but they released a lot of figures way before. With the experience of the BS 6" first wave, I decided not to wait and trying to choose the best I could.

On the BS 6" side of my collection, the only figures of TFA I bought were the Starkiller base Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma and also FO Snowtrooper (x2) Stormtrooper (x2), Flametrooper and a Tie Pilot.

Loved the new designs and "Non, je ne regrette rien" about my early purchases ;D

Although I have to accept that I expected more of Phasma, I still think that it will be a new encounter with Finn in the next movie. It's just that they have business now, isn't? Anyway, even if it doesn't happen, at least we had a funny scene with her being tackled by Chewy :)

I didn't bought any other figures because:

Constable Zuvio: The design was not appealing enough for me. At least in this movie, if I'm not wrong, he only appeared for some seconds during Rey's vision. Maybe we will see more of him later.

Guavian Enforcer: I bought one when I purchased my first Snowtrooper... but when I was leaving the store, I read the description on the back of the box. After that, I had a hunch that made me go back to the store and return it. Best decision ever  :rollfloorlaffsmiley:

Poe Dameron (pilot): They messed up his face badly. Even with the 3.75 Mara Jade, at the end I found one barely acceptable and I bought her. The Poe figures I found had a face that reminded me the actor of 'Life of Pi'. In the exclusive duo-pack he looks better, but no with this exchange rate  :confused0024:

Rey & BB8 / Finn: I would prefer to have only one of each. When they announced the actors, it was clear that Rey was going to be a Jedi, so as I said to a friend, if you have to choose between Luke in a farmer suit and Luke in a Jedi (or X-Wing Pilot) suit, which would you take? I decided to wait for her in her new outfit. Same goes for Finn, I think he will be also upgraded in the next movies.

Well, I saw the movie yesterday and I liked it, overall.

Now, this is my personal insight about some details of the movie. I'm not saying that the movie sucked, because it was good (better than the prequels, for sure).

A thing I didn't like is the "Mother of the Death Stars" appearing. I mean, even with the first Death Star, it was extremely more difficult to destroy it. Maybe the Dark Side has the obsession to create big weapons, but at least the first one was way more difficult to destroy. I remembered this video:  :)

But the thing I dislike the most was the performance of Adam Driver. I was hoping to see a troubled and conflicted Kylo Ren, but for some moments I couldn't avoid to feel the same sensation I have when I see a spoiled brat crying. I was wondering how old Kylo is supposed to be? The lightsaber fights seem forced to me. Even the Stormtrooper that fights Finn had better moves and the "Awakening of the force" on Rei seemed too "forced". The Mind trick scene was funny as hell, but, how did she do that? I know Kylo wasn't fully instructed, but come on, Rei shouldn't be better than him.

I know that a lot of these things will be explained at least in the next movie, but it made this one a little difficult to digest.

In the other side, Rei's acting was great, also Finn's. They made easy to greet them in the Star Wars universe. Lots of emotions when the old characters appeared.

Overall, as I said, I think it was a good movie. Best than the prequels. Don't think I complaining, even the OT has things that I didn't like, as the scene when everybody discovers that Palpatine had the same weakness that the turtles whem they are on its back.  ;D
