Online Shopping - Who's Got the Hot Items??? / Re: ToysRUs.ca Updates
« on: October 09, 2020, 07:11:13 AM »
The one thing I never saw, either online or in store, is that Millennium Falcon. I have the feeling it could not even make it out here, or at least in sufficient quantities to get one per store. It’s already very scarce at Target stores in the US, the demand is quite high, I have the (bad) feeling the ships may have been rerouted to US stores...

But my feelings often play tricks in my mind... more than once I admit... so we’ll see. 😝

Here's the link. Still coming soon:

Is $45 really the new price point for black series? jesus...

That's the price point for their "Deluxe" figures. Like the Probe droid, etc. And yes, way too expensive.

I don't remember where, but for some reason, I was under the impression the stuff will be online today and available in stores on Sept 3 but still nothing on TRU.ca.

Can't remember where I read about that though.

When it was first posted, it showed available in September. Now it shows coming soon.

ToysRUs wants $150 for an X-Wing... I imagine the BMF will top out around $700.

Current eBay listings:

https://www.ebay.ca/sch/220/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=galaxy+s+edge+millennium+falcon&_blrs=spell_check&_sop=15

Already going for up to over $1000.  :sign0065:

does this include the fx sabers that you can normally only get if you go to Disney?

According to Yakface:
Lightsaber Workshop (E9946) – $39.99
Lightsabers (E9697) – $12.99 each

Probably not. Maybe more will come. TRU will be revealing it all in September.

Thank you for the insight.

You're welcome. Hopefully there will be some decent product. Like 3.75 droids at least.

I don't remember ever getting a book from them in an envelope. It's usually just a matter of whether they pack enough material with it to stop it from sliding and bouncing around inside the box.

I don't get many books from amazon anymore, usually preferring chapters/indigo.

Thanks for the info.

Yeah, Amazon actually tries to use as little packing material as possible due to some environmentalists protesting.  I don't order anything from them that I want to keep mint in box.

How well do they handle books? I had to pre-order a Paperback novel from them as Chapters won't be carrying any copies.

Thanks.

I feel bad for the people that spend big money on these thinking they have actual value. They are sorely, sorely mistaken. Anyone considering a bad purchase needs to take a deep breath & let the dust settle - fools will be selling these for shelf price or less a year from now.

Very true.

So they're minimum doubling their money. I guess it's worth it to grab 6 or 8 of them if you find them & scalp. I'm surprised, honestly. I hope some at least some of the buyers are convinced they're getting 80s figures.  :shakehead:

Then you have the sellers with "variants" selling them for a lot more because Hasbro QC is a joke and parts go unpainted. LOL

Personally I think they're going to have a hell of a time making any money off them. That shelf price was batpoop crazy.  :speechless-smiley-004:

On top are the current Canadian listings for Boba Fett alone (and one or two lot listings):

https://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=star+wars+retro+collection+boba+fett&_sacat=0&rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=1

and the sold listings:
