Well I won't be the one to post plot points first, just impressions.

I loved it. It covered off everything I wanted to see. Totally thrilled with how they left things after the first 20 or so movies. 11/10 from JJ.  :love0030: :love0030: :love0030:

Negative Feedback / Northmen Collectibles - beware.
« on: November 10, 2018, 11:45:46 PM »
From long-time user DarthDerek:

Ok , so here is my experience.
I have made 4 orders through him this year.
(1st)Earlier this year made a BS6"Tarkin preorder around April. I totally expecting to wait.

(2nd)made a 4-Lom preorder around May. Again, I'm in no rush and totally expecting to wait for it.

Ok this is where things didn't feel right.⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

(3rd) NorthmanCollectables website had a sale around June/July, so I decided to make a order consisting of about 6-8 items that were all on sale, and according the the website, ALL INSTOCK!
So about a month goes by with no deliveries yet.
Now I didn't think to much of it at the time, even though I was a little puzzled about the delayed 3rd order, that order should have already shipped, it was all INSTOCK.  But I assumed that Northman was waiting for my first preorder ( BS Tarkin) to arrive and then ship both my 1st and 3rd order altogether in one shipment to save on shipping cost for them. And I assumed this because By this time Tarkin was already all over Walmart stores, and figured Tarkin preorder should arrive very soon.

Another two weeks goes by and BS Tarkin has shown to be NOW INSTOCK at NorthmenCollectables but I still don't see any delivery confirmation.  Now I'm alittle worried.

So at this time a collector friend of mine mentioned he saw northman at a trade show and mentioned that he loosely knows him, So I asked friend to see if you can get my order from the trade show and take it so he could give it to me, and this will save Northmen shipping costs, as this is what I thought was the issue.......boy was I wrong.

So my friend delivers one item (BS REY SPEEDER) out of 8-9 items of both my order (1) and order (3).
Now I'm thinking what the HECk!  But Finally a week later the rest of my order was delivered and the remainder of orders 1 and 3 are now complete. All items were nice and packed well. Although I thought INSTOCK items took way to long to be delivered, I was happy to have my sale priced items finally.😀

It's early September , all is fine, I'm only waiting for my preorder (#2) 4-Lom order, and I know that 4-Lom hasn't come in for online retailers yet, so again, I'm not worried.

Ok here we go again!!! :P
(4th) Order.  It's first week of October and I notice again that NorthmenCollectables is having another FALL SALE. So I take a look and see many things I'm interested in.

So I make my (4th) order and I make sure that I DO NOT make any preorder and only purchase INSTOCK, FOR DISCOUNT items so that I get my order in a timely matter.

My (4th) order was:
- 17 TVC 3.75" Kylo Rens @$4.99ea.
- 17 TVC 3.75" Rey @$4.99ea.
- 6   TVC Jynn Erso @$4.99ea.
- 1   EE Exclusive Six Astromech Droid set @$29.99
- 1   1983 Kenner Baggie Salacious figure @$4.99
- 1   1983 Kenner Baggie Jabba hooka pipe @$4.99

The order was close to $300 so I knew that I was over the $100 threshold for free shipping.

OK HERE IS THE BIG THING ,I also ordered from another online retailer (in Toronto just like Northmen) on the same day and that retailers order which was much bigger in size, arrives the next day.....WOW!👍

Ok , Two weeks go by and nothing happens from Northmen. :sign0065:   Emagine ordering from a Ebay Seller and they haven't even shipped yet!  But this is supose to be a Newer big Canadian online retailer.  :fighting0003:

Ok it's about October 21st and I start to try and find out about my order, mainly because all those $4.99 TVC figures were intended to be Halloween trick or treat gifts. ( we get a lot of kids 300-400) ... (REALLY...LOL)

So I phone him ( he is a one man show) and I email him, and I correspond through the Northmen Website.
I end up speaking to him 4 time on the phone, and getting two or three email responds, to my emails.
This guy has Zero Customer service skills. First conversation he is just blaming the world ! It's everyone else's fault, hasbros fault, other customers fault, Canada's postal partial strikes fault, "how can I get anything done if you customers expect your deliveries".......WHAT!?!?
He bragged about getting out 5, that's right FIVE parcels for delivery the other day.

BUT! When I ask him what any of this has to do with my (4th) order. He goes back to the same rant....Hasbro this, Hasbro That etc etc etc.    Each time the correspondents ends with "Let me lookin to it, email me your order number"........AND THEN NOTHING, until I start calling all over again.
This happens over and over, for about a week and a half. STILL NO DELIVERY!!!   >:( :mad0177: :mad0137:

So I finally email him and call him one more time, saying "before I make a Visa Claim" please get my order ready and I will drive to your store and pick it up.

So again I speak to him ( each time it's like I'm talking to him for the very first time.....FRUSTRATING AS HELL!)
I tell him I will see him tomorrow .

I drive two hours to Toronto, to get to Northmens store for their opening of 12:30pm
I buzz in and walk upstairs to meet Austin and his 10foot X 10 foot office which is jammed with a desk, a phone, a computer Screen, and boxes to the ceiling with only a foot and a half wide isle that leads from the front door of the bedroom to the desk on the back wall.

While I was there he didn't say hello, he complained to me and another collector that was their that when people phone and he doesent awnser , " don't be f..king stupid and call right back, come on!".  I found this funny, because this is the only way I could get him to awnser me

So anyways, I'm there his store.  I said I have all the time in the world and that I would just like to recieve my order.
He is like " look at this place(messy) how can I get to anything" ...... I'm thinking WHAT!?!?! This guy has no idea what he is doing, A good looking website ,sure, sure, but as I see what is behind the Wizzard of OZ curtain I know now that this operation is a bust!

So after all this one might think he would had my order somewhat ready as I was coming .......NOPE!

But here is the worst thing. (Refer to my 4th order above) he could not fulfill my TVC Kylo RENs, he couldn't ful fill my Rey's, gave me all Jynns instead and on top of that, he shorted me two figures without compensation(38 of 40 figs).  His reasoning, "What, you got them on sale".
I did get the 1983 hooka pipe, but he said he doesent know where the 1983 Salacious was, AND! WAS NOT WILLING TO LOOK.
THE EE exclusive six droid set that I really wanted, he said he can't get to it right now , there in the back corner and there are other boxes in front of them. He said "I will ship them to you later".

I disagreed with this, and said, I drove two hours to get my order , and I'm not leaving here until this order is settled in some form or another. :fight:

Bottom line! after lookin around on a few other FaceBook collector sites, there are people saying the same thing!
Looks like he ships easy orders like 1 figure that just came in etc.
Larger , harder orders he doesent fulfill.

Now this dosent really go to you SNOWTROOPERS but more too others that might see this site and are the ones on Facebook sites wondering where your bigger orders are?

Scout Report / Dengar 6" wave found in US
« on: November 10, 2018, 12:36:38 AM »
Not by me, sadly, but a friend of mine posted finding them with pics to prove it. I believe he's either in greater NY or NJ.

EDITED: Location not important - he got lucky & got an order through on hasbrotoyshop before they sold out.

Ok, after a bit of trying I have figured out at least one way to create an avatar for myself here that did work. The gallery of pre-formatted images that existed at the old forum is not working, so you can follow these steps to come up with something unique for yourself.

1. Find a suitable image using your favourite search engine.

2. Save the image to your computer (choose to save it to the desktop so it's easy to find later if you like).

3. Right click on your image, choose edit, & crop yourself a nice square shaped chunk of it. Save that.

4. Right click on the new square image & resize it to somewhere in the neighborhood of 100x100 PIXELS - please note that the standard setting is percentage - make sure you choose pixels - any image deemed too big won't be accepted.

5. Post the image in the forums here - heck go ahead & use this thread if you like.

6. Right click on the image in your post & choose "save location".

7. Click your username anywhere in the forums & choose Forum Profile.

8. In that area you will see something about avatars. Choose the option to Upload Avatar.

9. In the white box, paste the location you copied in step 6.

10. Update your profile (button is at the bottom of the page). If it worked, you should now see your new avatar in a box at the top of your forum profile.

11. Go back to your latest posts & admire your handiwork!  :love0030:  :u:

Hi Folks, I got this in the form of a message & it would appear some are following their old forum link only to believe the site is actually still down (or down again, whichever). The forums are up & fully operational! Please pass it on to anyone to contact via email, phone or text over the next little bit to ensure everyone gets back in the discussion!

"I don't know if you've noticed or if it has been already pointed out to you, the default url for has changed from to The former url which I had bookmarked was giving me and I imagine others a 404 Not Found error.

Search engines are currently pointing to the old url for"

I have an admission to make - I've never gone through these until now. I must say, I have been very pleasantly surprised so far, although I'm only half-way done the ESB adaptation.

There are many ways to read these now - I had purchased & saved the Dark Horse "A Long Time Ago...." omnibus editions of them around the time they went out of print, so that was affordable. Marvel has started re-printing them for themselves again in both (expensive) hardcover omnibus format (very nice, oversized pages) and their more reasonable EPIC COLLECTION line of full-colour softcovers.

Marvel's online comic reading service may be a good bet (I would think if you paid for a 1 month subscription you'd have a good chance to get through most of it).

All in all, they are much closer to how I think the story could have gone than pretty much anything else I've read over the years. I was expecting crappy comics & characterization but have gotten the opposite - they had the tone of the characters down pat.

Some of the art is a bit sketchy to say the least, but I find it easy to substitute the characters from my mind's eye into the situations provided by the comics. All in all, well worth the time it would take to check them out if you can find an affordable way to do it.

I didn't know these vehicles had been released - both figures look pretty desirable to me. Any sightings of these in Canada or are we stuck looking at US sources?

Well I watched most of the deleted scenes first & have to say there were 2 I thought added some needed context, both involving Finn. First when he's telling Poe he didn't join the army, then the resolution of that when he tells Rose they're going back to where "they" belong, meaning (to me, anyhow) that he's finally committed to The Resistance. The rest were appropriately left on the cutting room floor.

Other Movies - Music - TV Entertainment / How about Black Panther?
« on: March 11, 2018, 10:05:10 PM »
Finally saw it tonight. I'm not tired of Marvel just yet, as a matter of fact my excitement is at a fever pitch with Thanos (Avengers 3 - Infinity War) right around the corner.

This was a very good entry, though I would suggest it got a little over the top toward the end - certainly not the first time Marvel has pushed my suspension of belief abilities near, to, and past the breaking point. It looked cool though - awesome sets & costumes all the way through. I also like to see which vehicles are used & the Lexus looked very nice in this one.

As per usual, it was worth the few minutes extra to stick around to the very very end to see the extra scene.

I'm assuming many have seen this? I missed it in the theatre but watched the bluray over the past 2 days - where Iron Man 3's humour fell flat, this landed on me properly. I was giggling through most of the movie. Anyone else seen it?

The Vintage Collection (TVC) / 2018 TVC Basic Figures (checklist)
« on: March 01, 2018, 09:52:43 AM »
Found at Yakface along with the SKU's for each which I guess is useful to some folks. I'm a bit saddened that they're not going with "themed" waves like they did before - unless that's the plan moving forward from this wave.

Can anyone speak to which, if any, of these are supposed to be straight repacks?

Wave 1

Rey Jakku (TFA - REPACK)
Kylo Ren (TFA - REPACK)
First Order Stormtrooper (TFA - REPACK)
Supreme Leader Snoke (LJ - NEW FIGURE)
Jynn Erso (R1 - REPACK)
Hoth Rebel Solder (ESB - REPACK)

This is a work in progress, any additions or corrections you see needed please post & advise.  :D

Vintage Original Trilogy Collection (2004)

All-new, super articulated versions of 8 vintage figures. Many included soft goods. These were sold in clear clamshells right at the point of purchase & were available in Canada..... for a premium price (I remember getting mine at the Superstore in Nanaimo, BC). Even years later, these sculpts are still being used (WM Exclusive SA Chewie was a variation on this figure for example, and a slightly different version was packaged in with the BMF).

Han Solo
Luke Skywalker
Obi Wan Kenobi
Princess Leia
Darth Vader
Lando Calrissean
Boba Fett

Vintage Saga Collection (2006)

Continuing the deluxe collection started pre-ROTS, this was the same idea - super articulated versions sold with clamshell packaging protection.

Luke X-Wing
Tusken Raider
Biker Scout
Han Solo Endor

Vintage 30th Anniversary Collection (2007)

As above, super-articulated with clamshell.

Han Solo Hoth
Luke Skywalker Bespin
Princess Leia Endor
Stormtrooper Hoth

The Legacy Collection (2008 - 2010) featured what might have been the most glorious era of remade & newly made figures from the OT (YARNA, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD THEY FINALLY MADE YARNA), however these were not available on vintage style packaging. I only mention it in passing because there is A LOT of product from this collection that could easily be re-packaged and pumped back out as part of TVC over the next couple of years.

The Vintage Collection (2010-2013)

A favourite era for many modern SW collectors to be sure. Hasbro released a ton of characters from the entire story canon on vintage style packaging. Of interest, they chose to number the line so collectors could keep track of which figures they were still looking for a little bit more easily (and to stoke a bit of desire for figures that were destined to be pegwarmers, if I can be so bold). This collection also included vehicles, creatures & multipacks all using the vintage packaging look.

I am shamelessly (ok, it's not 100 percent shamelessly, I do feel a modicum of shame) copying & pasting Rebelscum's incredibly detailed checklist here:
