Customs / C'ai Threnalli
« on: December 03, 2018, 03:40:35 PM »
So, since Hasbro announced a new Poe for the VC line, I decided to use my current one's parts to make C'Ai Threnalli more articulated.  I honestly never intended to do this, but since my Poe just sits in the X-Wing, I figured it wouldn't hurt if he had mismatched lower arms and legs (gave him arms and legs from an OTC Xwing pilot since it's not visible in the cockpit).

Unfortunately, Poe's orange doesn't match 100% with C'ai Threnalli's but it's not too bad.  I just haven't decided if I'll give him a holster or not yet.

I had an extra Jaina so I made this.

The head seems big, but I think it would look better if I used Luke's arms.  However, I didn't want to do that as it would be irreversible as Luke's shoulder peg is larger than Jaina's.  I'm debating if I should do it anyways or not.

Customs / Random Rebels

Managed to get some cheap Cassians and an extra Han.  So, I thought I'd make some more 'pre-Rogue One' Rebels.

I intend to leave the jacket on but just for fun, here's a picture without the jacket.

Customs / First Order gunner with knee articulation
« on: May 26, 2018, 04:29:18 PM »
I haven't quite figured out what arm to use.  I managed to get a pair of Luke lower legs.  The feet are from a Death Star Trooper (the first one with huge knees).

If I ever get an extra set of VC Death Star Trooper arms or Tie Pilot arms, then I'll articulate this guy's arms.  The Death Star Trooper with the huge knees has arms that are too big for this guy so sadly, I couldn't use it.

I also updated Hux so he has a cap and a holster now.

Here's some simple additions to my collection.

I always wanted Hux to have a place to store his pistol and in TLJ, he pulled it out of a cross draw type holster.  I didn't really see how it looked, but just decided to use an extra Finn in Officer disguise holster and modified it onto my Hux.  Sadly, I am not skilled enough to sculpt hair so he has to just leave his cap on.
I didn't need to have Finn standing beside Hux, so I swapped out the Finn head for an Avengers Black Panther unmasked head.  Also painted the neck on another Finn to plop on a Nick Fury head.  I did this before, but the flesh was too orange.  I redid it and I think it looks a lot better now.

Some pics of Hux without his jacket:

The jacket conceals it nicely and here is with some other officers.

Customs / C'ai Threnalli with holster

I don't know if it's accurate or not, but I just felt that C'ai Threnalli needed a holster so I removed the holster from a damaged Poe that I had and put it on him.

I really wanted to remove the entire Nerf assembly but it was too hard so I converted it to have retractable cannons.  Got the idea from the Phantom.

Added controls in the cockpit so pilot won't rock around in the cockpit.

Customs / TLJ Rey and Ren super articulated
« on: January 24, 2018, 02:01:44 PM »
So, I finally got around to finishing my TLJ Rey.  Now both my Rey and Ren are super articulated.

So, I finally decided to make her super articulated.  Still not 100% sold on her arms and still looking for ideas, but this is how it is for now.  If I can't find any other better arms, then I'll paint her shoulder part later.

Together with my other TLJ SA figures.

For those wondering, the chip for the sound is in the torso.  This is how it looks like.

Customs / 3.75" Praetorian Guards
« on: January 03, 2018, 05:03:43 PM »
So, I have the four Walmart 3.75" Praetorians that I wanted.  Since they don't have the heavy blade weapon, I'm just sticking with this so they are using all 4 different variants of the weapons currently available.

However, the hands on these guys are so small.  I'm scared the one with the straight sword's thumb is going to break cause I slipped and bent his thumb almost 90 degrees back when I was putting the sword in his hand.  Wish they made the hands slightly bigger or the other weapons' handles a little smaller.

Here they are.  The heads on the 5 POA ones have slightly larger sockets so I had to modify them a little to fit.

Customs / Adding articulation to some 5 POA FO troopers
« on: January 03, 2018, 05:02:22 PM »
Got a TRU 2 pack exclusive to get the Praetorian Guard.  Didn't want to waste the Executioner Stormtrooper so I added parts using a bootleg Walmart Stormtrooper.  Did that to a 5 POA TLJ Stromtrooper too.  I just didn't like the bootlegs cause they were too stiff and some had torso that started cracking and they had discoloring.  I like how the parts fit on the 5 POA ones.

All 3 together. They were all once 5 POA figures.

One of them is the Walmart one and the other is the 5 POA one.

Customs / Kylo Ren TLJ Super Articulated
« on: September 14, 2017, 02:04:24 PM »
So, last night I just tried tugging on my Walmart 3.75" BS Kylo Ren's soft goods skirt to  see how tight it is and to see if it will come off.  His whole lower  half came off instead.  Luckily, the hole for the peg cracked just a  little so it ended up working perfectly as I removed the soft goods and  now I have a SA Ren that looks closer to his TLJ look.  I haven't  decided whether I'll cut the skirt shorter or not though as I don't mind  how it looks right now.  I had to put an O-ring under the plastic  skirt to push it out so that there isn't a gap between the skirt edge  and the bottom of his belt.  Sorry, the pics aren't the best.

With Hux just for comparison

With cloak on:

Just a note, all I had to do to make the head fit was enlarge the socket a little.  I did not have to cut anything off the peg.

Customs / 3.75 SA TFA Han Solo
« on: June 14, 2017, 12:38:25 PM »
I really wish that we got the regular Han for the 3.75" Black Series line.  It was a limited line so they should have made the core versions instead of ones with limited screen time, so it was disappointing they went with the Starkiller base one with trench coat.  Since they are finally decently priced, I decided to go ahead and make him into his normal TFA look.

I cut off the scarf, and gave him arms from an Indiana Jones figure and used the 5POA jacket.  I cut off the collar from the 5POA one.  I liked the 5POA headsculpt and paint better than the BS one but the neck joints are different sizes, so I had to modify the BS Han neck ball joint to accept the 5POA head.  Honestly, this is what I believe Hasbro should have given us, especially in a limited line.
