Star Wars Movies & TV shows / Clone Wars Season 7!!
« on: February 22, 2020, 05:20:28 PM »
Clone Wars is back!  Loved the 1st episode even though it wasn't that new since the unfinished version was released several years ago.

It was nice to get that old "Star Wars" feeling again.

Wampa Cave / Time for Star Case discussion again....

Anyone still storing there collection in these?  Have you tried other brands than the old Protech case?

Just found some on for $59.99/25 and wanted to know if anyone has used or is using them?

I know for awhile it was getting really expensive to get these.

Video Games / Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order
« on: April 13, 2019, 05:05:57 PM »
Been a while since we've had a new (IP) Star Wars game.  This looks pretty good....

I just got back from visiting my home in Louisiana and found Thrawn Alliances at Walmart for $20.28.  Went to go pay for it and when I started looking through it there were several pages that had been bent and folded over.  Ended up putting it back and thought I'd never see it that cheap again back in Canada.

Walked into Chapters today and there is was in the new and hot section for $25!  Don't think I've ever seen a Star Wars book on sale in their store before.

Looking forward to starting it.  Just got to finish Catalyst now.....

Just finished the first season of Van Helsing on Netflix.  The first episode was great, then the next 10 were boring, then the last two were really good.  I'm gonna keep going, since they just put Season 2 on there.

If you like The Walking Dead you might enjoy this.  It's pretty much the same, instead of zombies though they have vampires.

Season 1 I give a 6/10.

Looking for:
- Tarkin
- A New Dawn
- Lords of the Sith
- Heir to the Jedi

Must be hardcover 1st edition (non-library copy) mint condition (no tears on dust jacket).

I'll consider paying up to $100 for Tarkin as long as it's mint.

EDIT FEB 18th 2018

Also looking for older Marvel Star Wars issues.  Don't want to post issues that I need because I'm always upgrading some of my lower grade issues.

PM me if you have any to sell.

The Last Jedi novelization will release March 6 2018.  I'll get it, again I collect all hardcover novels, and I'll read this one.  I have all movie novels but have never read any of them.  This one somehow has a funeral for Han Solo.  I'm not sure how it fits into the timeline because he dies, Starkiller base blows up, Chewie & Rey escape back to The Resistance base, and then head off to Ahch-To to find Luke.  It would have to take place right before they leave to find Luke, but when The Last Jedi starts The First Order is right on top of them and that doesn't seem like enough time to have a funeral.

Speaking of movie novelizations, I finally ordered Rogue One from Chapters for $22ish and it showed up with a big tear on the back of the dust cover.  Not happy about it at all.  Not gonna fight it though, just gonna wait till it goes to one of the discount outlets, which should be soon.  And then pick it up then and just give my copy away.

Wampa Cave / The last 10 years??
« on: April 20, 2017, 10:33:43 PM »
So after pretty much taking the last 10 years off I've finally got back into collecting and enjoy it again.  Wife, kids, work, bla bla bla was all getting in the way.  Now my kids are getting older and getting into their own things so I finally got back into my thing.

What's been going on here over the last several years?

Off Topic / US websites that ship to Canada??

Now that we have a stronger dollar are there any good websites, not just for action figures, that will ship to Canada without gouging their shipping prices?

Sports / Hypothetical footbal question for Canadians....
« on: January 09, 2007, 02:25:58 AM »
I'm not trying to stir up anything or start a fight but I would like some serious and honest, brutally honest if you must, thoughts on what would happen if the NFL came to Canada in one of the 3 major cities; Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver?

Would the CFL fold and go away?

Would the government even allow it?

Would it change college and high school athletics?

Would there be enough fans to support it?  Or would the Argos draw a larger crowd?

Just looking for some thoughts on the subject from Canadian sports fans.

Sports / March Madness '06

Maybe it's not a big deal up here but just a few degrees south this is argueably the greatest sporting event of the year.

No matter what school you go to/cheer for, you have a chance to be a part of it.  Granted most of the tournament is filled with "BCS" schools there is still a chance for your school.  There are 31 automatic bids up for grabs for those who win their conference tournament.  All you have to do is win 3-6 games in a row and your in.

I went to a mid-major school, Louisiana Tech University, and every year we knew still had a chance to make it to the big dance no matter how bad we stank.  As a matter of fact we haven't been since Karl Malone led us to it back in the 80's.  But that doesn't defer anyone from rooting for their almamater year after year.

So without any further ado the bracket has been set so let the games begin...

Feedback U-Z / Positive feedback for Watts
« on: February 22, 2006, 05:06:42 PM »
Just wanted to say that Watts is a great snowtrooper to buy/sell/trade with.  If anyone ever has the opprotunity to deal with him, do so with confidence.  He always comes through.  :)`
