Last time I saw George talk about the live action show he said it was very much still in development and that they had a few dozen scripts written, but that the production cost were still to high, and so until they found a way to bring production cost down no principle filming would happen.

He made it seem as though it was going to happen just not quite yet.

I've never heard anything about a trilogy of any sorts. I have heard George say there would be no more movies, but who knows.

he also said the prequels would be good  :tongue0024:

still, this seems pretty darn sketchy at best, if you ask me...

George never said there would be no more movies, he did however say he would not me making them himself. Does not mean that he will not someone else give it a shot?

I'm skeptical. I really don't think we'll ever see more movies, but anything can happen.

I would expect another Clone Wars CG movie, maybe as a bookend to the tv series if/when it comes to an end. The details of the live-action show have always seemed elusive and inconsistent to me.... I kinda wonder if this thing is really even as "off the ground" as it was touted to be a couple of years ago. Scripts themselves do not a show make, hmmm?

I could see a Clone Wars movie telling the story of the end of Asoka with a subplot of why the Jedi don't trust Anakin enough to make him a master.

Uh...had a slight weapons malfunction. But, uh, everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here...now...thank you. How are you? *wince*

And finally, after nearly a complete decade later, the PT would finally make sense!

Hear me:

The day Star Wars becomes just as good as the original Trilogy will be the day that Star Wars will draw my attention again. So far everything I have seen as an effort to catapult the franchise in terms of shows/movies has not wowed me. Toys is a different story.

Something that I'm expecting George Lucas to commit to doing is making the movie of "Red Tails" that tells the epic story of how the Tuskagee Airmen from the 332nd, first US Army Afro-American fighter pilots, engaged the Germans during WWII, and never lost a single Bomber plane to enemy action while assigned as bomber escort. Because of their known great reputation within the US Army ranks, the Tuskagee Airmen participated in what became one of their most important missions : the bomb raid on Berlin in 1943. And this time they were not assigned: they were requested. Another major credit of the 332nd: They are the ones who first took down the very first Jet planes of the war. Last time I read about this movie, Lucas was supposed to start production, but who knows if this has changed since then. HBO made a special TV movie called the Tuskagee Airmen with Laurence Fishburne and Cuba Downing Jr., and man, I liked this movie so my expectations of Mr. Lucas' upcoming adaptation are already placed a bit high.

Dogfights have also been a longtime fascination for Lucas. But let's not forget that this movie should not just be about speed and action, and that there are a lot of talented "directors" out there who can easily make a great movie with this theme...
