EB is going to become a cross between TRU and your local comic shop as time marches on. It's the only way they'll survive and even then it'll be precarious.

I know from talking to a former employee that they don't make any money from selling consoles or new games, it's really just peripherals and used games that get them some marginal cash. It was never going to be a long-term sustainable business model AFAIC. Geek culture is the only place where they have a shot if they can take business away from Walmart and TRU.

Sunrise is hanging on, at least where I am. Tons of t shirts, books, toys, etc to augment the music sales. The record industry is crafty & have convinced kids it's fun & kitschy to buy vinyl albums again which is great, but they aren't cheap! Good way to stay afloat for a little while.

In years to come video games will be something that are streamed and in a cloud rather than physical copies. EBGames will struggle for sure as time goes on. If they could improve their website it may help them to survive.

Has anyone got notice of shipment or pickup for the preorders of the TVC wave with Boba Fett, Snaggletooth etc. from EB Games? I ordered them in October but was expecting them to be out by now. It looks they have arrived in the USA.

i think there coming out soon, I noticed a charge on card for about the amount for them the other day. same with the Deluxe Fett. so i think should be shipping soon fingers crossed.

I noticed a charge on my credit card too. According to the amount, I think is the vintage figures.

I have 9 TVC figures on order, they charged me for 3 of them about 10 days ago.
