How should I see TROS?

What is the best way to view TROS?  UltraAVX or Imax?  3d or not?

We did standard 3d & I had no problem with the presentation. It was fairly understated as far as 3d movies go, to be honest, and I'm good with that.

IMAX is always my preferred way to watch a blockbuster. Nothing beats the screen size and sound.

I am not a fan of 3D anymore.

yep! totally agree, 3D sucks most the time unless the movie was shot with 3D cameras and most arent as far as i know.

Transformers looked good in 3D. Star Wars not so much. brighter scenes can look good but most the time its not worth it.

I find it depends a lot on the theater itself. It's very common for the theater owners to dial down the brightness on their projectors to extend the life of the digital projector. It makes the film too dark and is terrible particularly for 3D (which needs to be extra bright, or it sucks).

If you can find it, IMAX WITH LASER is probably the top-of-the-line projection system going these days. I know it exists in Canada, but they don't have one in Ottawa, where I am. Scotiabank Theater in Toronto is supposed to have one.

I went to UltraAVX in 3D, because that's what was available at the time. Normally I try for non-3D if possible. The 3D added absolutely NOTHING to this film. I cannot remember a single scene where it was even noticeable. I only kept the glasses on to eliminate the fuzziness.

thanks! then i wont bother for sure even though i was wanting 2D first anyway.

Bladerunner was crap in 3D but awesome in 2D. True about the bulbs being brigther. i saw  Transformers: Age of Extinction in 3D and it was an art form of its own, man that looked cool!

Thanks guys!  I'm going to go 2D for this one.  If I am tempted to see it a second time, I'll go 3D then.

Why is there so little IMAX 3D showings anyway?

At home on the coach & save the $15 bucks :rollfloorlaffsmiley:   But if you have to see it at the theatre  I would go with Imax non 3D if possible.
