Hasbro Pulse
« on: September 25, 2020, 07:34:54 PM »

I am guilty of not exploring Hasbro Pulse - and man are there some awesome looking exclusives available now or soon!

HasLab Razor Crest (!!)

Black Series Amorer (!!)

Vintage-packaged Black Series Hoth Wampa (!!)

Worth a look for sure. https://hasbropulse.com/

Anyone with experience able to comment on how they are to deal with from up here in Canada?

They accept to ship all these everywhere in Canada... except to Quebec. Because the packages are probably not in French. Damn Bill 101.

At least, for the Razor Crest, shipping to Quebec is allowed (so relieved).

They will force you to use Fedex. A nightmare, but they give you no choice at all. Oh well...

As Jedipatrick said,  you're forced to use FedEx but other than that my experiences were good. They have packed my orders properly but I've read that others haven't had the same luck. In the USA their Pulse Premium membership gives the advantage of free shipping as well as day 1 access to con Exclusives but the free shipping doesn't extend to Canada so the $50 membership isn't worth it in my opinion. I didn't have the premium membership but was still able to order the 4 pulsecon items I wanted (vintage clones,  wampa, Endor heroes, armorer) by being online when the orders opened up.

Ordered the khetanna through their haslab section back in 2018 and that went well,  placed my razor crest order yesterday too because that looks like it will be awesome.

They have good variety and frequently have things in stock or available for preorder that you'll have a hard time finding anywhere else so I'd recommend Canadian sw collectors add the site to their bookmarks.

I just noticed the TVC Stormtrooper 4-pack is back in stock for pre-order on Hasbro Pulse.

Unfortunately, still capped at 2 per order, making the 30$ shipping a bit prohibitive

That's my same dilemma. The $30 shipping was a great deal for my Haslab Skystriker though.

I pulled the trigger… sums up to about 20CAD$ per figure accounting for taxes/shipping when you take 2 sets delivered to a Canadian address.

It basically just erases the "armybuilder" bulk discount.

And now come the Shoretroopers… it’s getting expensive!

I ordered the Stormtrooper/Rebel/Shoretrooper sets yesterday. Shipping is $30USD still a bit pricing but not too bad. Works out to $10 per set which I can live with.

I ordered the rebel fleet troopers and shoretroopers.

Comes out to $20 CDN each which is what we pay at retail anyways.

Are the hoth rebels actually based on on-screen characters, or are they generic? Anyone know?

Shawn Veldez (played by Joe Johnston and named after a fan who passed away) looks like a good match for the cleanshaven trooper.

I've read that Tamizander Rey and Cal Alder are also possibilities for that one.

Banthaskull has an unproduced character guide you can check out - https://www.banthaskull.com/miaf/list/echo_base.
