My one bad experience from many, many years ago when selling on kijiji was when a guy came to my home and deliberately didn't bring enough money with him.  If I recall, it was for a Batman figure for $25, and he arrived and said he only had $20 cash on him and handed it over and took the figure right out of my hands. Said he'd likely be buying more stuff from me in the future and would pay me back then.

what a nerve! i had someone drive from not that far away and they tried to take 5 or 10 off saying im coming from so and so. it wasnt even that far! ive gone a good way across the region and never once asked for anything off cause i'd feel like a turd for it. oh well.

The down sides are that people you meet in person may decide they want to negotiate at that time instead of beforehand - you have to be ready for that & either walk away or have an acceptable number in mind. I hate when people do that, though.

oh god! i hate it when people do that too! 3 or so years ago i sold this big drum on kjiji that i never used. They came from almost an hour away so i thought i'd take 20 off just to be nice. before i could do that in person she was offering me 20 less when we met! it still bugged me cause why didnt she say that before she agreed on the price (100) before meeting ? oh thats right! clowns!
low ballers are bad too. the person before this one over this drum totally pulled that move on me. guy was so annoying but i didnt fall for it. kijiji has a lot of scum on it so be ready for sure!

Kijiji and Marketplace on facebook maybe instagram has something similar, not sure, that's about it.
I'd say having to provide all this info and the money going directly into your bank account is due to the government trying to keep an eye on how much money we make and are not reporting.
Keep in mind this is just speculation on my behalf.

This isnt good. I know this is about toys but with all this covid stuff pushing ''the great reset'' further and the things that were just mentioned with Paypal (i didnt know any of that, thanks) it sure looks like ''they'' want to control everything. Well at least with Ebay it sounds a little more normal if you dont have to give a SIN number or other personal information thats too invasive. i guess thats a way to find scammers ? still, a bit weird.

haha, yep, that is pretty cool! May the 4th be with you, always.

Ya, Ians right. at first Tunghoris new site wasnt even shipping to Canada but i saw it updated for 35 flat rate to Canada. To the US its a flat rate of 13. When things level out for us im guessing its prob going to be 20 or a bit less if were lucky. Gotta hand it to Canada Post too. The last time they had a strike more and more places in China (ebay sellers) no longer send to Canada period. Not sure about other sellers not on ebay but i wouldnt be surprised if they dont either.

He was at a Star Wars show and met Dave and he got him to sign a carded Vintage Darth Vader figure.  A lot of people questioned him about getting a Vintage Carded figure signed because he was lowering the value of it.  Even Dave Prowse did, but he did not care he said the collection is for me and the carded figure means more to me now that it is signed.

"Dave Prowse is Darth Vader"  - RIP

i bought figures off ''the caledonia'' guy 5 or so years ago, nice dude! I dont blame him at all for wanting it signed. i dont know the whole story about what happend with DP but its kinda dumb if people think the guy walking around as DV would make the figure less appealing or the value of it! :S His catch phrase is a little cocky sounding though. Too many are gone these days but thats how she rolls i guess. Enough people say he was a nice guy too which is awesome. rip to dave prowse, mr vader!

Well I guess we know why Walmart is not going to match prices any more now.  The new strategy is to price gouge customers.  The new Vintage price on Star Wars figures that they think could be highly desirable is $24.97.  It could be a new strategy to try and stop resellers from buying up all their online stock and reselling it.

A stratedy ? bahaha. not really making fun of you but this company can take a hike. 25 bucks for a figure. On thin card and bubble stock as well. The sheen on it isnt even that good anymore. you'd think 18 bucks was the limit for high prices. Im not really a big collector but i manged to get a decent amount the last 7 years or so. This is nuts though. Guess if im in the mood and catch something on sale maybe but wow.

Guys like that don't make this hobby any easier.  They've been around as long as I can remember though, they're going to scalp and impulsive collectors are going to buy. The only ways to really deal with that problem are to be better than them at finding these guys and/or set your sights to be in it for the long haul - if you're willing to wait a year or two you are likely to find things at a more reasonable price.

The Walmart I went to might not have had any of these figures, but it did have seedless grapes in Mandalorian packaging. Not making that up.

haha, yep! i got two bags of the Mando grapes. They were really good grapes too. i got an empty bag sitting near me. kinda a mascot before the show starts. the grapes will be gone by then probably though. bah!

I'm old school and don't own a phone...can you send me emails?
i found another! haha. I use them for odd reasons cause i have no choice but i also dont own a cell phone and never have. closest i got was year ago when we had phones for work but the CB part was the only working thing on it but it was still an old flip phone. didnt like that either. ha

Just got my beaker armoured mandalorian cancelled. Again, ordered right after they went up on the website.

Same here!

Oh my! Me too! I'm so pissed. I had considered pre-ordering from EB Games too ... I was worried this would happen.

What's the point of pre-orders anyway? Seeing this a lot lately. Shouldn't they, you know, take orders until a certain date then order that many? Why can't Hasbro get any of this right?

its just greed if you ask me. They prob sell more at a time this way and less chance of putting things on sale later on, seems that way to me. the lack of figures, everything seems more aimed at money. Sell less for more/everyone wants whats harder to find type of philosophy. screw'em! ha

ya, im not a big sports fan but i cant see this working too well. like its been mentioned already there is problems right from the start of doing this it seems. this things gotta run its course but everyones afraid of big outbreaks which makes sense. freakin mess! ha
